The seminar comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts of the Palestine chapter of MEIRA headed by Palestine Exchange to develop effective practices for investor relations among Palestine listed companies. The seminar discussed mechanisms and channels necessary to communicate with investors and the general public, the form of the press release and its components and increasing the company presence over social media. The seminar also discussed how to present figures and news of companies and the need to apply transparency in the news, regardless of their nature.
The Palestine chapter of MEIRA was launched in February 2012 and is headed by the Palestine Exchange. MEIRA was established in 2008, as an independent, not-for-profit organization with membership open to all investor relations, financial communications, and capital markets professionals throughout the Middle East region. It aims to enhance excellence in investor relations through the provision of executive training, professional qualifications, seminars and networking events, and works in partnership with stock exchanges, regulators and experts in the region.
