The Chairman’s Award recognizes distinguished employees who work relentlessly in line with DFM’s corporate values of innovation and efficiency. It has been designed based on the standards of Dubai Quality Award (DQA) as well as the Government of Dubai’s corporate excellence to reward top performers for their efforts to implement various initiatives, achieve strategic goals and reinforce DFM’s leading position regionally and internationally. The award include eight categories; Distinguished Leader, Distinguished Employee (Male), Distinguished Employee (Female), Rising Star, Distinguished Creative Initiative, Distinguished Technical Employee, Distinguished Specialized Employee and Distinguished Team/ Project.
Out of the 26 candidates who have submitted their nominations, 12 employees have won the Chairman’s Award. Each winner has received excellence trophy, certificate of appreciation as well as a financial prize. Achievers of this year’s award included teams in charge of the following projects; Delivery versus Payment (DvP), Call Centre, Annual General Meeting (AGM) services, Margin Trading and Direct Market Access (DMA) and the Investor Relations Initiative.
During the ceremony, H.E. Essa Kazim expressed his delight with the market achievements through its 15 years history, as DFM rapidly turned into the leading regional exchange and further enhanced its presence amongst key financial markets globally, strengthening Dubai’s position as a global financial hub in line with the vision and directions of the wise leadership. “These achievements are the outcome of a comprehensive team that includes dozens of talented employees embracing DFM’s corporate values of innovation and efficiency as the main driver of their work. I actively encourage the team to continue their productive efforts to further realize the strategic objectives of the exchange during the coming period”, H.E. Essa Kazim added.
It is noteworthy that DFM creates an attractive work environment for its employees in general and UAE nationals in particular, with an undisputable commitment to provide them with the required training as well ensuring their career development. Currently, UAE nationals account for 63% of DFM’s personnel, one of the highest percentages in the country’s financial sector, and they occupy 100% of the top ranks.
