Damascus Securities Exchange, represented by Dr. Kinan Yaghi, Deputy Executive Director of DSE, has participated in the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Federation Exchanges (AFE), which was held on line via (ZOOM) application on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
During the meeting, the Federation’s Annual Report for 2019 was presented, the audited financial statements for 2019 and the report of the auditor were approved, and the contract with Ernst & Young auditor Lebanon was renewed – to carry out the work of the federation’s external auditor for the year 2020. The AFE’s budget for 2020 was also presented in addition to discussing the joining of new members besides many other matters that were discussed in the meeting, one of it is the issuance of the Arab Sustainability Index.
The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Abou Al Gheit, has also participated in the meeting, where he gave the opening plenary words.
DSE works continuously on enhancing the cooperation frameworks and strengthening relations between different stock exchanges, especially Arab ones, for the means of developing and activating the communication between them, and exchanging experiences related to financial markets, which is of great benefit to DSE.
