Appointment of Mr. Senhaji as A New C.E.O at Casablanca Stock Exchange

The board of directors decided, unanimously and in compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions, to appoint Mr. Tarik SENHAJI, as Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of current C.E.O. Mr. Karim HAJJI. The appointment of Mr. SENHAJI will be effective starting April 2, 2020. The board of directors commended Mr. Karim HAJJI for his achievements during the 11 years, during which he led the exchange. The board highlighted his constant commitment, his role in transforming the stock market and his contribution to raising the profile of the Moroccan market.

The board of directors welcomes Mr. Tarik SENHAJI who will lead the exchange towards a new stage of its development.

Mr. Tarik SENHAJI is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique Paris and the National School of Statistics and the Economic Administration (ENSAE) in Paris. He started his career as a financial manager at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in Washington DC. He then held, in London, various management positions, related to capital markets, at Société Générale, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Calyon CIB and Natixis CIB.

Mr. Tarik SENHAJI is a seasoned business executive with more than 23 years of experience in the financial sector on the Moroccan and international markets. Before this appointment, he was Managing Director of Ithmar Capital, the sovereign wealth fund of strategic investment, and president of the Moroccan company of Tourism Engineering.
