The Egyptian Exchange Concludes its First IPO Summit

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) concluded its first IPO Summit, hosted in Cairo on the 6th of May 2014 under the auspices of H.E. Egypt Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab. The Summit was an initiative to inform Businessmen and companies of the financial benefits of listing in EGX.

Through his speech, EGX chairman Dr. Mohammed Omran valued the latest decisions taken by the government recently in connection with the restructuring support and organize the appeal process on contracts pointing out that increasing the companies’ capital is a clear indication of the growing confidence in the economy from the part of companies for expansion opportunities, pointing out that the first 4 months of this year witnessed companies’ funding by nearly LE 5 billion which is a new record that would increase with the completion of road map so that the year 2014 could be the best for EGX since January 2011.
