The Palestine Exchange Participates in the 2015 World Federation of Exchanges Meetings

PEX Participated in the 2015 WFE meetings held last week in Doha, Qatar. The meeting was attended by heads of the major international exchange groups, leaders of WFE-affiliated organizations, such as clearing houses, the post-trade sector and representatives of global regulatory agencies.
 
The 2015 WFE meeting is the 55th, during which several important topics were discussed including, the role of stock exchanges in serving national economies, their contribution to the overall development and sustainability efforts, their role in encouraging investment and the private sector through SME's exchange markets, in addition to discussing some other issues related to stock market strategies and performance, the development of derivatives and bonds markets, and the challenges facing emerging and developed markets.
 
The World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) is the global advocate for regulated financial exchanges. With 64 members world-wide, London-based WFE develops, promotes and benchmarks best practice in international capital markets and supports international cooperation and coordination among regulators. WFE exchanges are a major source of funding for global economic activity, providing a home to more than 44,000 listed companies.
